David A. Barnett has been appointed General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and Samantha X. Jin, Treasurer, has been appointed Principal Financial Officer of the Company effective today.
Mr. Barnett has spent his career in the financial services industry, as a legal and compliance professional, and began his career in the Enforcement Division of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. More recently, Mr. Barnett spent the past 16 years at Epoch Investment Partners, Inc., (“Epoch”) a subsidiary of TD Bank, as Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Attorney. Before Epoch, Mr. Barnett gained significant experience at various mutual fund, hedge fund, and investment advisory organizations. Mr. Barnett is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Brooklyn Law School and resides with his family in Westchester County, NY.
Ms. Jin has been with the Company since 2018 and has led the accounting and finance functions since 2019 as Treasurer and Principal Accounting Officer and will continue to do so with the expanded title.
Eugene S. Stark, who previously held the titles of Chief Compliance Officer and Principal Financial Officer, will be transitioning his responsibilities to Mr. Barnett and Ms. Jin with the expectation of retiring at the end of the year.
